MARIVELES, Bataan – Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion of this town expresses his confidence in the huge socio-economic advantages and enormous influence to the lucrative agro-industrial growth of the historic peninsula with the proposed construction of $ 4 billion Bataan – Cavite toll way bridge project.
Mayor Concepcion has disclosed that the twenty-five-kilometer long toll way bridge is now in the list of the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) priority projects and the biggest infrastructure preparation under Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia‘s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for the People and Investment Opportunities mode.
He explained the extensive outcome of the proposed Mariveles, Bataan – Island fortress of Corregidor – Naic, Cavite bridge to the national economy which would transform Central Luzon into highly industrialized section of Luzon Island and effective transport route of goods and services from Northern Luzon to Bicol region.
With this aspect, the proposed Bataan-Cavite bridge project serves as indispensable conduit to achieve inclusive growth in the developing regions near Metro Manila Area and in entire Luzon Island.
Several local and foreign corporations have signified their intentions to put labor-intensive and export oriented manufacturing firms in the historic peninsula due to the reported massive infrastructure development.
The bridge link scheme is designed to hasten the transport of finished products for the thriving export markets and other services like accommodating petroleum, oil, fertilizer, water including basic utility pipelines, fiber-optics and railways system.
A Chinese survey team composed eleven technical people and researchers has initially garnered topographic terrain, sea and other pertinent data for evaluation and other information needed for appraisal processing scheme of the proposed bridge site.
The team comes from the Chinese government construction agency, CSCEC Straight Construction and Development Company Ltd that ould make project evaluation method assessment analysis of the site for the completion of systematic formulation and evaluation.
