CAMP TOLENTINO, Bataan – To further sharpen their writing skills, some 40 policemen and women from the city and various municipal police stations underwent the other day, a comprehensive writing seminar.
Under the auspice of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) led by veteran writer Jose Mari Garcia, PIA-Bataan manager, said seminar/workshop will certainly sharpen not only their writing skills in preparing police reports but also widen their vocabulary.
The technical writing seminar came after Garcia and Sr. Supt. Benjamin Silo, Bataan police director, agreed to boost the writing skills of the police forces particularly in preparing police blotter that is open for public consumption and the media. A clear and well prepared police report/blotter will help a lot in providing factual information to the public.
“The work of the police does not stop in security operations as more office paperwork follows,” pointed out Garcia.
The participants engaged in letter writing and evaluation of reports in the whole day event organized by the PNP Provincial Advisory Council and Philippine Information Agency-Bataan.
