MARIVELES, Bataan – A Chinese locator at the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) breaks ground for its new expansion area in the country’s sprawling economic zone.
Reports from the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) say that Guangqiang Manufacturing Corp. led by its president Xincai Chen and General Manager Zhanlin “Simon” Ye recently invited other business leaders in the FAB to the groundbreaking ceremony led by AFAB Chairman and Administrator Emmanuel D. Pineda.
Guangqiang is a FAB enterprise registered in 2015 and is engaged in the manufacture of die cutting mold, laser scalpel, and carving knife. It also sells and processes materials for handbag and shoemaking materials such as PVC fiber paper, regenerated leather and other related products.
Pineda said the said firm’s expansion program would mean additional jobs for local workers and additional revenue for the AFAB. He said this is one of the reasons why AFAB is aiming for expansion of the freeport area. The expansion, however, would not mean to dislodge housing facilities in the area but to put them in proper perspective.
