MARIVELES, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) continues to strengthen its ties with two upland villages within the freeport namely, Barangay Maligaya and Barangay Malaya.
Issues of immediate concern are usually tackled in the regular meeting of the AFAB officials with barangay officials including village councilmen.
In recent meeting with Alewijn K. Ong, AFAB’s deputy administrator for operations, and Donia G. Alonzo, community services department manager, Barangay Captain Henry Garcia of Malaya, and Barangay Captain Danilo Musni of Maligaya discussed various development projects in their respective villages.
Hazel Keith, AFAB information writer, said commercial stalls in the barangays will be improved to serve local residents and power supply in the village’s basketball court will be provided through the effort of AFAB.
Valid complaints and suggestions to improve the village folks’ living condition are likewise tackled in regular AFAB meet which is usually held at the freeport administration building, Keith said.
