BALANGA CITY, Bataan – School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) Chief Sports Coordinator Ramon C. Perez cited the improvement of Bataan delegates in the 2018 Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) meet held at Malolos, Bulacan on Feb. 25- Mar.2.
During the courtesy call of winners at the Department of Education (DepEd) Division Office on Monday, Perez recognized the efforts of Bataan Athletes in defending the province in the said sports program of DepEd that aims to instill the value of sports to the students.
Despite Bataan’s defeat to the Province of Bulacan, Perez said that the athletes’ performance is persistently improving as they have clutched 49 golds, 47 silvers, and 49 bronzes, which make up the Championship title for the Secondary level, and 3rd spot for Elementary.
For five consecutive years, Bataan landed as 1st Runner Up for the overall standing in CLRAA. This year, it was also recognized as the Most Organized Delegation which honored how the people of Bataan portray right conduct, discipline, and orderliness.
The athletes were also bestowed with certificates from the Provincial Government of Bataan in
recognition to their hard work, and will be receiving cash incentives depending on their contribution to the championship.
Bataan athletes will undergo local trainings on Friday in preparation for the Palarong Pambansa that will be held from April 15-21 in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
