   BALANGA CITY, Bataan- Bataan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Incorporated (BACCII) president Armanda T. Battad exalted the unequalled dedication of key officials of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in continuously improving the quality of local products to compete in the world market.

Speaking before mediamen during the launching cum kapihan of the Business Resource Center (BRC) at the DTI office in this City last Friday, Battad said the opening of the newly-refurbished P 1.5 million facility is expected to serve as the logical venue for small and medium–sized enterprises to establish foreign and local contacts for world-class quality local processed marine products, fruits, and other delicacies that have garnered recognition and positive reactions from consumers worldwide.

  Battad said that DTI Provincial Director Ms. Nelin Cabahug and her staff have been providing significant information regarding dependable business contacts and technical assistance on the marketing procedures of products for both local and international markets.

DTI had conducted numerous seminars on the branding, packaging, marketing and promotion of world-class quality local foodstuffs and other merchandises for the traders and manufacturers to penetrate the large Filipino communities abroad.

About 700 registered small and medium –sized enterprises in the province would have appropriate corporate knowledge in transacting with their global market counterparts with the installation of high –tech computers at the BRC, Cabahug explained .

According to Ms. Cabahug local entrepreneurs have been actively participating in the spectacular display of local products of world-class quality in exciting events and activities in supermalls in the regional and national levels in the country.

She added that the DTI is now preparing an array of pocket-sized events and activities this coming Christmas holiday to stimulate the forthcoming well-loved Filipino traditions for the benefit of small and medium-sized enterprises in Bataan.
