CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – “Go straight to your local health center if there are symptoms of measles for it is better to be safe than sorry,” said Provincial Health Office (PHO) representative Donna Samson regarding the alarming reports of Measles Outbreak all over the Philippines. Ms. Samson issued the announcement this morning, February 11, during the traditional flag raising ceremony held at the Bataan People’s Center.
Department of Health (DOH) declared Metro Manila and Central Luzon as having a highly contagious measles outbreak. According to data from the PHO, Bataan has 39 suspected measles as of January 2019.
PHO encourages everyone to go to the nearest health center for vaccination especially children under 5 years old.
