BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Mariveles town mayor, lawyer Ace Jello Concepcion has stressed the expansion of business process outsourcing (BPO) industry and construction of commercial structures and property leasing enterprises are quality investment inputs in enhancing the eco-industrial growth of this historic peninsula.
Mayor Concepcion has appreciated the entry of a group of South Korean locators to put up $1 billion worth of highly modernized BPO logistics and information technology training center and commercial strip with offices in three strategic sites at the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).
FAB chair Engr. Emmanuel Pineda and Virgilio Pagulayan, president of BizLink. ph and South Korean representatives recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the establishment of labor-intensive enterprises in the country’s first export processing zone.
Mayor Concepcion describes the new business project as the biggest FAB investor so far which is targeting to employ 10,000 technical workers and professionals and intends to include in their program to train 1,000 information specialists per year as they focused on creating competitive edge for BPO outside of Metro Manila.
The first termer municipal executive of Bataan premier industrial park has enumerated the local government multifarious growth plan initiated by Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia of attaining an equal stature of a healthy business atmosphere environment in Central Luzon area.
The operations of more BPOs in the Bataan peninsula would generate more employment opportunity for the local residents and neighboring provinces and promote technological expertise for the practitioners.
