BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) held a two-day research and invention exhibit in its main campus here.
Researches and inventions of the university, registered as utility models at the Intellectual Property Office were exhibited last week.
Two of the inventions exhibited were Localized Processing Machine for Roasting and Grinding of Dried Coffee Beans and Design and Prototype of Processing Machine for Making Ceiling Boards.
“The inventions and researches we are doing in BPSU will mean nothing if these do not reach end users”, BPSU President Dr. Greg Rodis pointed out in his message.
“We have to help for the improvement of our community. This is the advocacy of BPSU”, he said.
For his part, BPSU Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Services Dr. Hermogenes Paguia said, “This exhibit is truly a showcase of what BPSU researchers can do”.
“I am hoping that your inventions here inspire other faculty members and students to engage in research”, he told researchers.
“Nurture your skills in research and take your curiosity and brilliance to a whole new playing field and become industry players that would create employment and contribute to the Philippine economy”, he challenged them.
BPSU Director for Research and Development Engr. Rod Munoz echoed the same challenge and vowed support to university researchers.
“Let us do researches and inventions that are useful to the people. The RDO will assist all researchers”, he said.
