Garcia and some local government officials, the delegation from the BYD Auto Industry Company Ltd from the People’s Republic of China together with foreign media arrived last Wednesday, May 30 at the Port of Capinpin in Puting Buhangin, Orion town aboard a ferryboat.

The music provided by the BPSU brassband and gradeschool children from nearby school waving flaglets of China and the Philippines gave the festive atmosphere, to the delight of the guests.

The entourage boarded two buses and proceeded to the Dambana ng Kagitingan atop Mt. Samat in Pilar town where they were toured in the museum containing WWII memorabilias, after which they went straight to Hotel Oriente in Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac for the signing ceremonies where they were again greeted by good music courtesy of the Pangkat Kawayan of PUP-Mariveles and the Rondalla Romano.

Our very own Koro Bangkal Magbikin serenaded the guests with their angelic voices while the El Gamma Penumbra awed the audience with their meaningful, relevant and amazing performances.

A press conference participated in by both foreign and local media was held prior to a sumptuous dinner. Sealing the night was the spectacular fireworks display amid the picturesque night view of the Las Casas Filipinas made more breathtaking by the amazing fire dancers. It was indeed a night to remember.
