MORONG, Bataan – The XIII Martyrs Cycling Association led by their President, Mr. Christopher Sepacio from Trece Martires, Cavite conducted an outreach “balik-eskuwela” program at Kanawan Integrated School (KIS), Sitio Kanawan, Brgy. Binaritan of this town last Sunday, April 30.
The Cycling Group coordinated with Mrs. Trinidad Tallorin, Animal Products and By-Products Utilization (APBPU) Provincial Coordinator, Office of the Provincial Veterinarian. According to her, Sitio Kanawan, an indigenous people community in the province, is a priority area of Governor Albert Garcia; that is why when the cycling group contacted her, she recommended Sitio Kanawan right away.
Around 250 elementary and high school students from KIS received school supplies such as notebooks, pad papers, pencils, coloring materials and other necessary supplies in schooling. Also, the school received office supplies they can use throughout the incoming academic year. KIS School Head Mr. Ronald Bantugan expressed his gratitude to the group for choosing KIS as their recipient and beneficiary saying the school supplies will mean a lot to the students and parents.
“Wala na kayong dahilan para hindi mag-aral sa June. Hindi na kayo bibili ng gamit. Hindi na mahihirapan ang mga magulang ninyo. Mag-aaral na lang talaga kayo kaya dapat magsipag kayo.”, he reiterated.
The KIS awarded a token of appreciation to the group.
