ABUCAY, Bataan – Political advertisements, election propaganda, election posters are allowed in private properties but with the consent of the owner. Strict adherence to Commission on Election (Comelec) rules on filing of statement of contributions and expenditures (SOCE), among other related topics every candidate should know.
Those were among the topics discussed by Comelec officers headed by Atty. Rene Cruz, Balanga City election supervisor, during the Comelec briefing for candidates held Monday in Tres Marias Restaurant in this town.
Said briefing was attended by Bataan Vice Gov. Cris Garcia, Morong re-electionist Mayor Cynthia Estanislao, Bagac mayoralty candidate Ramil del Rosario, Limay mayoralty candidate Laiza Roque with hubby Ver, Board Member, now Samal mayoralty aspirant Rolly Tigas, re-electionist Board Member Rey Ibe, Dinalupihan re-electionist Mayor Gila Garcia, candidates for board members from the First and Second Districts of Bataan, and other new candidates.
At stake are 2,250 elective posts to be filled up on May 13 election. Polling precincts open at 6am and close at 6pm.
The Comelec pointed out that it is going to be very strict on the candidates’ filing of SOCE. There are Comelec forms to be filled up by a candidate such as notice of public rally, summary of report of advertising contract, schedule of contributions received, summary of unpaid obligations, among others.
