DINALUPIHAN, Bataan – A top police officer here has described this town’s reformation program for drug surrenderers as the best in the province.
“As I see it, Dinalupihan is very lucky to have Mayor Gila Garcia who works hard to improve the plight of her constituents”, said Police Superintendent Donato Bait, Bataan Police Deputy Director for Administration during the ceremony at the start of the 10th batch 30-day reformation program of drug surrenderers held at Bahay Pagbabago, Barangay San Benito.
“Dinalupihan has the best reformation program in the province”, he said.
In her message, Garcia appealed for understanding from the public in providing help to the reformists as she asked everyone to join her in extending a helping hand to surrenderers.
“The reformation program is not only for surrenderers but for all. We must not turn blind and deaf to the problem. They need help”, she said.
“Bahay Pagbabago is not a jail. Support of the family is very important. We need to strengthen the foundation of our society”, the lady mayor pointed out.
During the ceremony, NGCP also held the symbolic turnover of a check amounting to P1.74 million as donation to the program.
“We can see the sincerity and effective leadership of Mayor Garcia in helping drug reformists”, said NGCP North Luzon District 5 Head Engineer Napoleon Viterbo.
