BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The meaningful and progressive stride of the historical peninsula to industrialization is the outcome of robust economic agenda and its natural geographical advantage situated at the mouth of Manila Bay which is a premier gateway to the country’s government, business and trade centers.
Ms. Eloisa Galang, a part-time professor of Assumption College in San Fernando City, Pampanga, has expressed her enthusiasm on the industrial and commercial growth of Bataan as an investment hub in Central Luzon.
She stressed the respected late provincial head, Enrique T.Garcia Jr, former Bataan governor and House representative of the provinces’ 2nd congressional district, who served as government tax consultant, had formulated the long-range socio-economic scheme which was the offshoot of high inflow of investment portfolio in the province.
The prosperous and cohesive development plans and subsequent implementation of meaningful economic reforms, Ms. Galang identified two catalysts of transformation as the principal reasons why the province’s economic outlook remains promising amidst strong competition from nearby Ecozones and Freeports in Central Luzon.
This is indicative of Bataan’s favorable economic agenda and most friendly business environment status with the existing seven progressive economic and industrial zones which focuses on accelerating development through investment in strategic and emerging growth areas.
She pointed out the long stretch of coastlines in the three southern Bataan towns of Orion, Limay and Mariveles as big potentials for future port depots and terminals which can provide as effective storage facilities from transshipment of containerized and break bulk cargoes, fuels and lubricants, grains and fertilizers.
