BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Department of Education-Bataan, together with the Philippine Association of Physics and Science Instructors (PAPSI) and De La Salle University, conducted a training-workshop for junior high school teachers to upgrade their skills in the fields of Chemistry, Biology, and Physics at the Pan Resort and Events Place, Abucay, last July 1. The 2-day activity includes lectures given by professors from De la Salle University and a hands-on training in operating 3d printing machines.
PAPSI Counselor and Physics Department Head DLSU-Manila, Dr. Gil Nonato Santos said that with the help of the experts from different institutions, they can further develop the knowledge of the educators using both traditional and application methods in teaching.
The 3d printing workshop was facilitated by a researcher from DLSU- iNanoResearch Laboratory, Mark Jo Torrechiva. Using the Computer Aided Design (CAD), Torrechiva showed the step by step process of printing a simple printable model.
