BALANGA CITY – Re-elected Bataan Gov. Albert S. Garcia expressed his heartfelt gratitude to teachers, to the Commission on Election (Comelec) employees, law enforcers and supporters to the peaceful and orderly election. The third-term governor said during the proclamation ceremonies Thursday shortly before noon at the Bataan Peoples Center at the Provincial Capitol Compound that after the democratic processes,” We must move forward to attain progress and fast-track the development of the province, I am still here alive and kicking,” said Gov. Abet to brush aside reports from various camps that the provincial executive was sick and seriously ill.
“Nagsalita na po ang bayan. Tuluy-tuloy na tayo sa pag-unlad at isantabi na ang mga isyung makasasagabal sa ating pag-unlad”, said the governor. (The people have spoken through ballots. Let us move forward and set aside issues that would stand in the way of progress and development.)
Also proclaimed were unopposed Congressman Jose Enrique Garcia of Second District, re-elected Congresswoman Geraldine Roman of First District, unopposed Bataan Vice Gov. Cris Garcia and all newly-elected and re-elected provincial board members.
