HERMOSA, Bataan – Municipal Mayor Jopet R. Inton on Monday led the actual inspection on almost all variety stores here.

After the traditional Monday flag raising ceremony, he was joined by lady Councilor Luz Samaniego of the Sangguninang Bayan (municipal council), police and marshall operatives.

Selling of cigarettes in stores especially to minors and smoking in public places are strictly prohibited in this town according to existing municipal and provincial ordinances being implemented by local officials here.

Aside from the anti-smoking drive, Mayor Inton also implements the proper solid waste segregation scheme.

The first-termer mayor also made his tough order to eradicate all illegal activities in his municipality.

Last week, Mayor Inton relieved his chief of police and deputy chief of police citing command responsibility upon learning that there were reported operations of “paihi” or oil pilferage along the Hermosa stretch of Roman Expressway.

Police Chief Inspector Joey Sampaga is now the new OIC- Chief of Police of the Hermosa Municipal Police Station.
