‘Kagitingan: Bataan Has Fallen’

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – In cooperation with the Provincial Government of Bataan and the Department of Education in this province, Mark Lennin Medina, a playwright from Bataan, had collaborated with the Altitude Graphics and Advertising Production, with the presentation of a play, “Kagitingan: Bataan has Fallen” to enliven the spirit of heroism in ones hearts, held at the Bataan People’s Center, this City.

“My first inspiration in doing this is since taga-Bataan din ako at ang dami-daming historical landmarks, why not i-showcase sila diba? And since theater din ang fashion ko. Bakit hindi ko ito gamitin para lumikha nag kasaysasayan,” said Medina, the playwright.

Schools province wide, from elementary up to senior high school spent time watching the almost two-hour play. To be particular, are the following: Pablo Roman National High School, Bonifacio Camacho National High School, Emilio C. Bernabe National High School, Tomas Pinpin Memorial Elementary School, Bataan National High School, Cupang, Tuyo and Elmentary Schools.

According to Mr. Medina, the play is all about the heroism of Filipinos.

“Napakaganda ng event. Honestly, the history itself, it educated me. And at the same time gusto ko yung story. I also liked the twists and turns,” Dave Basto, Assistant Principal II of the ECBNHS. Over-all, the event was a good one.
