BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) has now opened nominations for the Kampeon ng Wika at Dangal ng Wika 2018.
KWF is urging the public to nominate individuals, organizations, or institutions that have contributed to the development and enrichment of the Filipino language including native languages in the Philippines.
“Kampeon ng Wika” award is given to those who have uplifted the Filipino language while “Dangal ng Wika” recognizes those who have developed and promoted native or regional languages through literary works,” KWF said in a statement.
Qualified nominees should be any individual who are at least 40 years of age, or an organization, institution, local government office, and private sector that has been established for at least five years.
Nominees should have written and published a collection of literary pieces that have enriched the Filipino language and other native languages in various fields and discipline.
Those who would like to nominate should submit a letter citing the qualification of the nominee, curriculum vitae for individuals or profile of the organization, KWF nomination form, and evidences of published Filipino literary collection.
Requirements should be submitted to Sangay ng Edukasyon at Networking, Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino at 2P Gusali Watson, 1610 Kalye J. P. Laurel St., San Miguel, Manila.
