ORANI, Bataan – Bataan’s 1st congressional district representative Geraldine Roman is eyeing for the construction of a new provincial hospital to provide extensive health care coverage and services to the province’s growing population.
Rep. Roman reportedly is conferring with municipal officials and other stakeholders about the plan of building a government hospital which would bring extra milestone to health promotion programs of the provincial government to the residents.
The former Bataan Provincial Hospital in Balanga City is now known as Bataan General Hospital.
The first-termer legislator is carefully evaluating inputs from municipal mayors, government officials and private sectors to determine the most favorable potential location of the proposed provincial hospital.
Residents have welcomed the historic health episode as significant impact to well-being, safety and welfare of the people of the second congressional district who are continuously seeking professional medical services from the government-run hospital at more competitive costs.
The additional government hospital in Bataan is preferably in anticipation of the influx of more factory workers and their families in the seven operational economic zones in Mariveles, Limay, Morong, and Hermosa towns.
Aside from the projected establishment of a provincial hospital, Rep. Roman is also working for the formation of a European-class ecological-tourism park in the picturesque Mount Bataan in the upland village of Tala of this town.
