BALANGA CITY, Bataan—-The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has donated P800 thousand for the drug surrenderees’ reformation program of this city.
NGCP team led by North Luzon District 5 Head Engineer Napoleon Viterbo and Regional Corporate Communication Officer Fely Mercado recently conducted the turnover of the symbolic check to officials of the city.
The symbolic check was received by City Mayor Francis Garcia accompanied by City Vice Mayor Vianca Venzon-Gozon, Councilors Benjie Merino, Jovic Baluyot, Joy Panganiban, and Balanga Chief of Police Joel Tampis.
City officials expressed gratitude to NGCP for the assistance saying it is a boost to their program to reform drug surrenderers.
City Administrator Rudy De Mesa earlier announced to local newsmen that NGCP will provide assistance to the city.
Aside from this city, Dinalupihan and Orion towns received P1.74 million each from the electricity transmission company.
