ORANI, Bataan – Committed to the realization of its vision that by the year 2020, Orani will be among the top 5 ecotourism destinations in Central Luzon, and taking off from the initiatives of the provincial government, in terms of inclusive growth among others, Mayor Efren “Bondjong” Pascual, Jr. together with the ISO core group of Orani, local government officials and stakeholders, unveiled their Tower of Success during their ISO 9001:2015 launching held last Friday, March 1 at The Venue, Peninsula de Bataan in Tapulao, this town.
After the warm welcome of Municipal Administrator Raul de Guzman, Vice Mayor Godofredo Galicia, Jr. led the declaration of support and commitment, and shared his definition of the word commitment, which is, giving yourself to a cause you believe in.
In his message, Mayor Pascual rallied everyone, especially the municipal employees by saying, “Ang magagaling ay hindi ang mga dumarating, kung hindi ang mga naiiwan. Ang Orani ay isang gising at umaasang bayan at basta taga Orani, world class.
Pascual likewise underscored the fact that with limited resources, the transformation of Orani to become world class is happening simply because governance is a shared responsibility.
Hence after embarking on a journey called Performance Governance System (PGS), they have now committed themselves to be certified ISO champions as symbolized by their Tower of Success.
ISO 9001 is the title of an ISO standard that outlines the requirements an organization must maintain in its quality system for certification that can help companies meet their customers’ requirements for their product/service while fulfilling any regulatory requirements. Typically an entire organization will seek certification, to improve performance. It likewise evaluates whether the system is appropriate and effective, and at the same time identifies and implements improvements.
Continuous improvement assures customers benefit by receiving products/services that meet their requirement, and that you deliver consistent performance. Internally, the organization will profit from increased job satisfaction, improved morale, and improved operational results.
Atty. Ethelwolda Aldea of NEO AMCA, former Board Member Guding Ferrer, Councilor Maya Bongco and Councilor Emmanuel Roman are among those who also provided words of encouragement and support to the members and all stakeholders present.
