PILAR, Bataan – Relative to the conduct of the 2017 Brigada Eskwela last May of this year, the Schools Division Office of Bataan headed by Mr. Jessie Ferrer, Schools Division Superintendent, recently announced the result on the search for the Best Implementing School in both the elementary and secondary levels, with the Pablo Roman National High School, as the winner in the secondary level, Mega School category together with other winners in the different levels.
Ms. Gemma Cabreros, principal of said school, was overwhelmed with the result of the Brigada Eskwela, addingt that, their more than 100 teaching force really worked hard, hand in hand with the parents, the LGU officials, PNP, Fire Brigade and other stakeholders in making their school clean, environment friendly with convenient classrooms ready for the start of the classes last June, that really enticed the students to go back to school.
Brigada Eskwela is now being practiced annually in public schools nationwide before the start of classes, as per Division Memorandum 104, series 207 with this year’s theme, “Isang DepEd, Isang Pamayanan, Isang Bayanihan para sa handa at ligtas na Pamayanan,” to instill among teachers, parents and stakeholders the spirit of camaraderie or “Bayanihan” and also for disaster preparedness.
The selection of the Brigada Eskwela winners were based on the following criteria: scope of work (35%), diverse volunteer participation (25%), resources generated (15%), alignment to increment of resources and volunteers (10%) and the number of teaching force (15%) in the elementary and secondary categories.
With all these, the Don Pablo Roman NHS satisfied the validation team, emerging as winner and Top Best Implementor in the secondary level – Mega School Category.
Awarding of winners according to Sir Jessie Ferrer, CESO V School Division Superintendent is scheduled on Aug 25, 2017 at the Crown Royale Hotel, enjoining all principals, Brigada Eskwela coordinators, LGU officials, District Supervisors and others to attend the said activity.
