BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Peninsula Electric Cooperative (PENELCO) Incorporated announced the winner in their “Logo Making Contest” yesterday, October 18, at the PENELCO Main Office, Roman Expressway, Barangay Tuyo this city.
The new Penelco logo” is the entry of 34- year old Josias Ilano of Balanga City, for which he won a cash prize worth Php 30,000. John Paulo Cabral won the 2nd place with a cash prize of Php 10,000, while the “Noy & Neng Visuals” won the 3rd place with Php 5,000 cash prize.
Meanwhile, our very own graphic artist here in 1Bataan, Christian Rodriguez, a native of Orani and a product of BPSU who also joined the contest, tied with Michael Cunanan at fourth place; bringing home Php 2,500.00 cash prize each.
Before the awarding, Engr. Lawrence Howard Aquende, Chairman of the Reinventing PENELCO Logo Committee, said that: “It is a big achievement to win the contest because your logo will represent the PENELCO and the Province of Bataan to the Philippines’ various Electric Cooperatives. Director Fernando Manalili, PENELCO Board President, proudly said that: “PENELCO had a 2017 Annual Revenue of Php 8.4 Billion, mocking them as a ‘Multi-Billionaire Cooperative’ and has a ranking of “AAA” because of the achievements gathered for the past three (3) years.
