BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Bataan Peninsula Tourguides and Faculty Researchers from the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Dr. Leslie R. Jorge and Ms. Juliet Allegra A. Blanas participated in the 2nd Asian Conference on Interdisciplinary Research 2018 held last July 22-24 at Hotel Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort, Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Bagging the Best in Oral Presentation is the BPSU-CHED funded research entitled “Benchmarking on Industry-based Competencies and Circumstances on the Perspective of Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management Graduates: Basis for Curriculum Enhancement” presented by Dr.Jorge.
Another institutionally funded research entitled “The Viability of the re-implementation of the Ferry Service in the Port of Orion” was presented by Ms. Blanas.
The conference was facilitated by the Asian Society of Teachers for Research and was participated by various institutions, researchers and scientists with paper presentations that focus on the impact of interdisciplinary research outputs for dissemination to stakeholders, journal publications and foster linkages among institutions and researchers.
With the City of Balanga gearing towards the achievement of its vision to be a world class university town by 2020, BPSU is paving its way through research along with its academic programs and extension services.
