BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Aiming to uplift its proud tradition of integrity and excellence, the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), the professional organization of accountants, is hosting the Accountancy Week Celebration (AWC) nationwide from July 17-23, 2016. In line with this, the PICPA-Bataan Chapter has lined up various activities in which all Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in the province are requested to participate. The theme for this year’s program is “Level Up.”
A thanksgiving mass at the Divine Mercy Shrine, Balanga City, was held last July 17 wherein voluntary donations during the offertory were given.
After the mass, a fun bowling game and socialization among the participants was conducted at SM Clark, Pampanga.
On Tuesday, a career guidance orientation with the Senior High School students under the Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) Track was executed at the Bataan National High School.
Today, PICPA-Bataan is in Mariveles to facilitate a seminar on Basic Accounting for Non-Accountants such as the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families. A business orientation was also served in coordination with the Public Employment Service Office.
The Accounting Quiz Bowl and seminar for Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIAns) will be on Aug. 3, venue to be announced.
The Accountancy Week Celebration was set every third week of July each year by virtue of the Proclamation No. 212 issued on July 18, 2002.
