BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Inclusive growth is defined as economic growth that is distributed fairly across society and creates opportunities for all.

Members of one sector of our society that take center stage today at the Lou-Is Resort and Restaurant, this City are the differently abled individuals or the so called Persons with Disablities (PWDs).

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) under the leadership of Mrs. Marilyn C. Tigas is currently holding a provincial forum on the issues and concerns on the implementation of Republic Act 9442, “An Act Amending RA 7277 otherwise known as the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons” and on the Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 10754, “An Act Expanding the Benefits and Privileges of PWDs”.

In attendance are 15 established grocery owners in coordination with the DTI, 5 drugstore owners, 5 chiefs of hospitals, 33 PWD officers from the different municipalities of the province, municipal social workers and focal persons, representatives of the different agencies under the provincial government of Bataan, national agencies such as DepEd, LTO, DENR, DILG, PAO, DOLE and other stakeholders.

Resource speakers from the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA), Department of Health (DoH), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) will enlighten the participants on the provisions of the abovementioned laws for them to rightfully claim the provision of certain special privileges due them.
