BALANGA CITY, Bataan – A group of retired generals from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is listed among the top prospective investors to finance the construction of commercial strip at the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).
Engineer Emmanuel Pineda, chairman and administrator of AFAB has revealed that a number of retired generals is soundly appraising the progressive business trend and bourgeoning entrepreneurial activities in the country’s first export processing zone.
According to Engineer Pineda the proposed 3 – storey commercial strip with 1,200 square meter land area with its own solar energy panels would provide commercial-leasing spaces and dormitory facilities for industrial workers explicitly-designed for Public-Private Partnership for the people and investment opportunities in Bataan.
Speaking before members of the Bataan Press Corp at Kapihan with AFAB held at the Plaza Hotel recently, Chairman Pineda expounded the primary objective of AFAB which was authored by then Representative Albert Raymond S. Garcia of instituting investment-friendly community in the historic peninsula which would provide good job prospects and quality of life for the residents.
He recognized the sincerity of the former top echelons of the AFP to join in the construction, reclamation, development and operations of the Freeport Central Business Hub.financial center and mixed–use seaport and cruise ship terminal as a tribute to Bataan’s role during the last World War ll.
The project, Chairman Pineda said would be located in the proposed 12.5 hectares business district, which is targeted as an investment site for business process outsourcing resources, information technology amenities and other highly-technical accommodations.
