BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Levy P. Laus, a prominent businessman, Chairman Emeritus of the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with huge investment in Bataan, owner and CEO of the Nissan and Haima car dealership in Hermosa town and the Subic Freeport Ford and Car World Subic at the Subic Bay Freeport Area, was recently honored by the Philippine Senate in a simple ceremony at the Senate session hall, in recognition of his
contributions to entrepreneurship and countryside developments in Central Luzon.
Resolution no. 147 sponsored by Senators Richard Gordon and Juan Miguel Zubiri describes Laus as a taipan, visionary and a philantrophist driven by a personal dream to transform his life not only by achieving success but by building a legacy.
Levy who was personally known to Gov. Abet Garcia because of his Regional advocacy on Regional Investment and Infrastructure Coordinating Hub (RICH) in Central Luzon, started his career as a clerk in a local bank and later on resigned and founded his Laus Marketing, as a one-man-team selling, documenting and delivering his products.
His perseverance and sharpening his craft for championing his business, enabled him to reap numerous awards and distinctions such as the Most Outstanding Kapampangan in Business, Award from the Clark Development Corp, Presidential Medal of Merit from former President Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo and many others.
It will be remembered that Levy P. Laus perished in a helicopter crash last April 25, 2019, he was only 68 at the time of his death.
