BAGAC, Bataan – Mayor Louise Gabriel Q. del Rosario of this town has allocated P3 million from the 2018 budgetary appropriations for the construction of Bagac Tourism and Information Center next year in Barangay Atilano Ricardo.
The proposed one-storey tourism and information center would display World War ll relics and memorabilia of historical and cultural significance, locally produced handicrafts and delicacies, provide meaningful facts and figures of exciting special events and other data on sports, society, tourist attractions like mountain trekking and other worthy environmental adventures in the lush forest of Mount Bataan .
Del Rosario explained the new tourism and information center located in the bustling business district of the municipality and would be built in a 2,500 square meter lot, a few meters away from the Japanese built Friendship Tower and the newly-installed Death March zero marker, which would provide valuable insights that would maximize the emotional impact from the tourists and local visitors on the unforgettable role of the historic town.
According to the youthful town executive, the operations of Bagac Tourism and Information Center would hasten the development of the town’s tourism and travel industry and the expected visitors to appreciate the thriving fully integrated and self-sustained community that harmonizes cultural heritage with naturally-gifted leisure-type environment.
He added the town is pursuing an economic development program focusing on travel and tourism industry which would directly improve the quality of life, education, job generation, health and other social services for the residents.
