BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Sikat FM 91.1 is one of the media entities that covered the multi-agency Operation Greyhound at Bataan District Jail.
“Just like in earlier operations, we found no illegal drugs, liquor, and cigarette during the search”, said Jail Superintendent Andrew Tauli, Bataan District Jail warden who led the joint inspection of jail cells on Tuesday.
The broadcaster said collected were assorted and unnecessary items that needed to be taken out so as not to congest the cells.
We do not anymore intercept cigarettes from visitors at the gate that means they realize that we are serious in our campaign. In the first place, it is primarily for the welfare of inmates especially those who have respiratory problem”, Tauli said.
“We did not find any contraband but it does not mean we will become lenient. We will just continue our stringent measures”, he also said.
Aside from the multi-agency search Operation Greyhound, BJMP conducts its own search for contraband inside jail cells at least four times a month.
